Install steps

  1. Enable Developer Mode

    Open chrome://extensions and toggle Developer mode on (top-right).

  2. Install the extension

    Drag ctrlx-pro-v1.0.0.crx into the chrome://extensions tab and drop it. Click Add extension when Chrome prompts.

  3. Register the native messaging host

    Extract the zip, then run install.bat as Administrator. This registers the Python host that writes your backup JSON to disk.

  4. Verify

    Press Ctrl+X in any window. The window closes, RAM is freed, and a collection appears in the sidebar. Done.
