FEATURES

Built for the tab hoarder in all of us.

Every feature ships in the free tier. No tiers, no upsells, no data leaving your machine.

Active Panel

Current window, always in view

The Active Panel tracks your current browser window in real time. Sticky labels keep tabs identifiable at a glance. Select individual tabs with checkboxes before saving, or click any tab to focus it instantly.

Collections

Organized by date, named by you

Saved windows are grouped by date and given editable names. Open All restores an entire session in a new or current window. Delete individual tabs without touching the rest of the collection.

Bookmarks

Separate from Chrome's — yours alone

Ctrl+X keeps its own bookmark store, isolated from Chrome's native bookmarks. Add the active tab instantly from the sidebar header. Bookmarks persist locally and survive browser restarts.

Notes

Rich-text notes inside the extension

Write, format, and organize notes in collections directly inside the sidebar. Quick Access dropdown in the sidebar header lets you jump between note collections without navigating away.

Recovery

Recently closed sessions, recovered

Ctrl+X integrates with Chrome's recently closed sessions. If you accidentally closed a window before saving, recovery gives you a second chance to capture it.

Sidebar

Pinned tabs, live stats, full control

The sidebar panel shows pinned tabs, a live session timer, and real-time RAM stats. Quick-capture flow lets you save the current window without leaving what you're working on.

Native Messaging Backup

Auto-writes umbrella-backup.json on every save

Every save triggers a native messaging host that writes a portable JSON backup to your local disk. No other Chrome extension tab saver does this. Your data is yours — exportable, inspectable, and completely offline.
